Updates due switch to Remote Learning
- Culture assignments will be due Mar 24. For those doing blogs 2 posts and 2 assignments will be due on that day.
- All lecture material will be placed on the course website as PowerPoints and voice recordings. The notes will be posted at various times during the week, and I will notify everyone of the postings on Piazza.
- Material will be shifted by 1 week. Look for an updated course schedule on the class website by Mar 23.
- There will be no more lab activities/material and no more robotics component to the course due to remote instruction.
- Programming assignments will progress normally, with program 7 due on Mar 30. Instead of the 4th problem being robotics related, an alternative problem will be selected.
- Tracing assignments will be posted on the course website. Answers should be answered through Blackboard by the due date.
- As an alternative to quizzes - you will be required to ask a piazza question about the week's material and required to write a short paragraph of lessons learned from the tracing assignment. The paragraph submission can be found on Blackboard. The Piazza question can be anonymous to classmates or private if this makes you more comfortable.
- As an alternative to the second test - you will be required to write a 2-page executive summary about coding concepts that allow programs to scale to large sets of data and large teams of engineers. This will be due April 7th. The specific prompt/requirements will be given one week prior.
- As an alternative to the programming project - you will be required to learn inheritance/polymorphism on your own, answer a challenging programming assignment, and provide a recorded video explaining the answer to your assignment. Details will be posted after the 10th programming assignment is turned in later in April.
- Instead of office hours, you can feel free to schedule a Skype chat with me any day of the week within the hours of 8am - 11pm EDT. My skype name is posted on Piazza.
- If for some reason you are not able to complete the course requirements, please email me as soon as possible so that we can create an alternate plan of study.
