Brief description: A medium-sized tree. Leaves are thick, leathery, evergreen, elliptic, simple, alternate, entire, margins entire. The lower surface of the leaf is conspicuously rusty with villous tomentum. Flowers are bisexual, fragrant, creamy-white, big. Fruits are cone-ellipsoid, aggregated on a cone-like gynophore.

Campus data: Very frequently cultivated everywhere on campus.
