Brief description: An evergreen, trailing or climbing shrub to 6 m; the branchlets are covered with small warts. Leaves are roundish to elliptic-oval, simple, opposite, entire, pinnately veined, margins crenately serrate-toothed. Flowers are perfect, greenish, in slender peduncled clusters. Fruits are globose, pinkish capsules with orange arils. 

Campus data: Rare in the wild on campus. One patch found climbing a big oak.
