Research

My research interests are in exploring the boundaries between hardware, operating systems, and compilers in future chip multiprocessors. This work includes examining the memory system demands of data intensive commercial applications.

Personal

I have an identical twin sister who earned her CS Ph.D. program at the University of Washington. We both do systems work, so we sometimes unintentionally confuse people at conferences.
I swim, do yoga, and do lots and lots of walking/hiking with my Golden Retriever DB.
I also experiment with cooking and baking. I'm a member of two CSAs - Victory Farms and Agriberry.
I try to make time to volunteer. For my first years in VA, I volunteered at the Chesterfield County Police Department. After that, I was a mentor for Lutheran Family Services of Virginia's MentorMatch program.
